[2023/12/18 15:16] Alicia Frakture: Leesha is getting back to her feet still injured but ready for the next test
[2023/12/18 15:17] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: those aches just last indefinately?

[2023/12/18 15:18] Alicia Frakture: Leesha shrugs."If I am allowed to rest between tests I will take it but not sure how the rules are."
[2023/12/18 15:19] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "A rest would be sensible..." She places her hands on Leesha and mutters a few words, applying minor healing energy.
[2023/12/18 15:21] Alicia Frakture: Leesha nods."Rest it is." She pauses and looks around for the deity."Is that okay? I don't want to break the rules."
[2023/12/18 15:22] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben is keeping quiet for now, waiting to hear what the next challenge is.

[2023/12/18 15:26] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "My mission is a dangerous one. I am no bard, but, here is my story."
[2023/12/18 15:27] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben nods, listening.
[2023/12/18 15:28] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana pauses. "I am from a few hundred years hence. An invention is created, which gives great power, and a class of merchants rise to rule the world - but they rule it poorly. The people are poor, they have no food, they labour as slaves, they are deeply unhappy."
[2023/12/18 15:30] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "A group rises to oppose them, and bring the world back to righteousness and justice. It is a long and bitter war, and mages determine that the invention must not be."
[2023/12/18 15:30] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "So I am created, and sent back to this time, to find the inventor, and prevent their creation taking place, and stopping the evil it causes."
[2023/12/18 15:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana, pausing again. "...I said I was no bard. That is my story."
[2023/12/18 15:33] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben raises a hand to inquire. "How do you plan to recognize the creator or their invention?"
[2023/12/18 15:33] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "I must find the right Murderhobo."
[2023/12/18 15:34] Alicia Frakture: Leesha chuckles."Hehehe Murderhobo."

[2023/12/18 15:36] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana, after looking at Leesha, then Dahlia. "That... is their name... Murderhobo. The mages were able to determine that there are three possible ones, they answer to the name Den Murderhobo."

[2023/12/18 15:37] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Do they have siblings?"
[2023/12/18 15:38] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "I know not, but I must assume they have family."

[2023/12/18 15:44] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "There is potentially much danger. But that is my story, and, maybe now to rest."

[2023/12/18 15:45] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "I am not sure, but I need know only one thing: it is EVIL, and it must be stopped."
[2023/12/18 15:48] Alicia Frakture: Well we can keep an eye out and try to stop them.
[2023/12/18 15:48] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: nods, and settles to watch.
[2023/12/18 15:49] Alicia Frakture: Leesha closes her eyes resting her aching bones
[2023/12/18 15:50] Sonja Bikergrrl: Time passes... and it's morning. Everyone is rested and gains spell points and recovers from damage - although Katana is clearly very slow to heal.
[2023/12/18 15:50] Sonja Bikergrrl: Time for Trial #2!
[2023/12/18 15:51] Alicia Frakture: Leesha slowly gets to her feet and approaches teh Shrine."Okay, next test."
[2023/12/18 15:51] Sonja Bikergrrl: A loud voice booms out: "Child! Without a strong mind, you will be tricked. Find the Statue that tells the truth." You may recall there are four statues about the shrine.
[2023/12/18 15:52] Sonja Bikergrrl: one is dog-headed, one cat-headed, one bird-headed, one bull-headed.
[2023/12/18 15:52] Alicia Frakture: ... shit.
[2023/12/18 15:52] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Ask questions you already know the answer to, Leesha."
[2023/12/18 15:52] Alicia Frakture: *Are there any plaques that say anything?*
[2023/12/18 15:53] Sonja Bikergrrl: Only the various carvings of religious significance, no plaques anywhere.
[2023/12/18 15:54] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks at the cat head one and leans on the nearest statue."Am I leaning on a statue?"
[2023/12/18 15:55] Sonja Bikergrrl: Cat: "Yes."
[2023/12/18 15:56] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks at the dog."Did the cat say yes or no?"
[2023/12/18 15:56] Sonja Bikergrrl: Dog: "Yes."
[2023/12/18 15:59] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben walks up to the bird. "What is the reciprocal of the square root of nine?"
[2023/12/18 15:59] Alicia Frakture: Leesha thinks and ponders looking at the statue she is leaning on."Both Cat and dog spoke the truth. Mind you easy questions but still."

[2023/12/18 16:01] Alicia Frakture: Looks to all 4 Gonna try something. What is my Grannies name."

[2023/12/18 16:10] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks at Debben as if to ask. Is that correct?

[2023/12/18 16:29] Alicia Frakture: Not as in depth an answer I expected but I think I know

[2023/12/18 16:34] Alicia Frakture: I believe it is the bird. Answers came easier for the others but when teh bird didn't know they admitted it.
[2023/12/18 16:35] Sonja Bikergrrl: The Bird nods. "You have chosen wisely. The boots on the altar are for you." (And a pair of boots are indeed there.)
[2023/12/18 16:36] Alicia Frakture: Takes the boots politely and replaces her older boots with these new ones
[2023/12/18 16:36] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: What do the new ones look like?
[2023/12/18 16:37] Sonja Bikergrrl: The boots are rather well made... kind of ornate, and, a perfect fit. You feel these will give you some kind of advantage, although, what that is, you cannot yet tell
[2023/12/18 16:37] Sonja Bikergrrl: The booming voice is back. "The third and final challange awaits!"
[2023/12/18 16:38] Alicia Frakture: Leesha nods."Ready when you are."
[2023/12/18 16:38] Sonja Bikergrrl: A wall of fire erupts around the shrine, and the loud voice booms out: "Child! Without a strong heart, you will never be trusted. You must pick one of your companions who must die."
[2023/12/18 16:39] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: jumps up and draws her sword. "What the...?"
[2023/12/18 16:39] Alicia Frakture: No
[2023/12/18 16:40] Alicia Frakture: If a strong heart winds up with the death of my friends and companions. It's not worth it.
[2023/12/18 16:40] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): /me frowns, "Why do some silly deity's always want a sacrifice of something they don't own"
[2023/12/18 16:40] Sonja Bikergrrl: The voice: "That is your answer?"
[2023/12/18 16:41] Alicia Frakture: It would have been picking myself but you phrased the challenge a way I couldn't. but yes that is my answer
[2023/12/18 16:42] Sonja Bikergrrl: The voice: "The Quest is complete. The Messenger shall now return." And the fire does down, and the three spinning interlocked wheels are once again manifesting over the shrine. "You have done well, child. You are a promising candidate."
[2023/12/18 16:43] Alicia Frakture: Leesha smiles."So you're saying I passed?"
[2023/12/18 16:45] Sonja Bikergrrl: The sound of grating gears comes, modulated to form speech. "Yes, child. You are a promising candidate, however there remains one issue. Adhering to the life of a holy warrior is not an easy task, it requires great adherence to Order."
[2023/12/18 16:46] Alicia Frakture: Leesha blinks."Not gonna lie I've been chaotic for.. well as long as I can remember
[2023/12/18 16:47] Alicia Frakture: But I will do my best.
[2023/12/18 16:48] Sonja Bikergrrl: The gears, and indeed the whole entity, rotate noisily for a moment. "Indeed, child, this will not be easy, but nothing worth it is easy. Your ability to adhere to the process of Order will be assessed by how you deal with something a half mile north of the shrine. A petitioner has asked for divine help, you are the answer."
[2023/12/18 16:48] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "What happens if she falls short of your demands?"
[2023/12/18 16:49] Sonja Bikergrrl: The gears grind rather noisily. "There are no demands."
[2023/12/18 16:51] Alicia Frakture: "half mile north. All right." She looks at the others."Ready to take a walk?"
[2023/12/18 16:52] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "Aye, lead on."
[2023/12/18 16:52] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): /me "Very ready, lets go!" , starts to fly and finds a shoulder soon so she can keep up
[2023/12/18 16:54] Sonja Bikergrrl: Off we go! It's not a long or hard journey, surprisingly, but it does end at a rather old-looking graveyard, with a large mausoleum in the middle. It has a door slightly open.
[2023/12/18 16:54] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben stands and walks behind Leesha, frowning at the graveyard.
[2023/12/18 16:55] Alicia Frakture: Leesha narrows her eyes."Of course." She still heads to the mausoleum and pushes open the door."Hello?"
[2023/12/18 16:56] Sonja Bikergrrl: There's a shuffling sound, and a dry voice replies: "Yes.... who....?" The shuffling gets louder, as something approaches from within
[2023/12/18 16:58] Alicia Frakture: Leesha opens the door more to get some light on the dry voice
[2023/12/18 16:59] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): /me looks around the outside of the mausoleum, trying to see what might be special about it or just interesting
[2023/12/18 16:59] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Gaaah!" The figure, nearly at the door, throws up it's arms to shield itself as daylight streams in. You can see the figure... is rather wizened and dark.... "Gods! Why are you disturbing me? Can I get no rest?"
[2023/12/18 17:01] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks at it."Maybe I can help someone ehre is looking for divine help or something?"
[2023/12/18 17:02] Sonja Bikergrrl: The figure blinks. "YOU'RE the divine help I asked for??? I-I expected something... else..."
[2023/12/18 17:02] Sonja Bikergrrl: And that's our cliffhanger for the night!
